With the Nelson City Council elections almost upon us, the Tahunanui Business and Citizens Association has arranged a Meet the Candidates session to assist you in selecting candidates
MEET THE CANDIDATES
SUNDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2022 3 – 5 P.M.
Muritai Centre, TAHUNANUI SCHOOL, Muritai Street, Tahunanui
Candidates for Mayor, Stoke-Tahunanui Ward, At Large Ward, and Maori Ward, have been invited to attend.
Candidates have been asked to respond to the following questions –
- “How do you see the future transport issues of Nelson and their impact on Tahunanui?”
- “What is your vision for promoting Tahunanui and its economic value as a gateway to the city?”
- “How would you support the future development of the Tahunanui community?”
Responses to these questions will be printed and displayed around the hall for attendees to read.
Format of meeting
- Mayoral candidates will speak for up to 5 minutes
- Other candidates will be seated around the room so that attendees can have a short discussion with candidates of their choice.
